FIRE STOPPING
Predominantly geared towards buildings that require enhanced levelsof passive fire protection, AIM’s range of cavity and fire barriers arefitted horizontally and vertically to provide protection to the structureand persons within the building.
NOISE ABSORBING
Stone wool insulation is an effective barrier to the movement ofairborne sound transmitted through gaps and cavities within thebuilding. AIM stone wool products not only provide fire protection butalso absorb noise, enhancing the comfort of those within.

Party Wall Fire Closers
These products prevent the passage of fire, smoke and sound in all three directions at the party wall junction.
AIM Party Wall Fire Closers are semi-rigid, Rockwool stone wool, laminated to a polythene DPC. They have been designed to provide at least one hour resistance to the spread of fire and smoke in all three directions at the party wall junction. They also significantly reduce flanking sound transmission within external wall cavities.
Horizontal Closer
A barrier that prevents the vertical passage of fire and sound in external wall cavities.
The AIM Horizontal Closer is semi-rigid, Rockwool stone wool insulation laminated to a polythene DPC. It has been designed to provide up to two hours resistance to the spread of fire within a cavity that is adjacent separating floors within multi story buildings. It also significantly reduces flanking sound transmission within external wall cavities.
CavGuard Roll 65
Tenmat’s CavGuard Roll 65 is a cavity fire barrier designed to firestop the cavity behind external walls that consist of outer substrates of masonry or brickwork.
The CavGuard Roll 65 is designed to close off a total cavity of 65 mm which allows for building tolerances of up to 15 mm (above the typical maximum cavity ventilation requirements of 50 mm).
FF102/25 - Intumescent Cavity Barrier
Tenmat’s FF102/25 ventilated cavity fire barrier is designed to reinstate fire resisting performance to external wall cavities that require permanent (open state) ventilation in non-fire conditions.
The FF102/25 is designed for use within a 25 mm cavity, and once installed, will close the remaining free air gap (in front of the 4 mm cavity barrier) of 21 mm.
FF102/50 - Intumescent Cavity Barrier
Tenmat’s FF102/50 ventilated cavity fire barrier is designed to reinstate fire resisting performance to external wall cavities that require permanent (open state) ventilation in non-fire conditions.
The FF102/50 are used within cavities of up to 50 mm and once installed will close the remaining free air gap in front of the 6 mm cavity barrier of up to a maximum of 44 mm (depending on construction type).
